Commission B Supports Collaboration Between City - Start-Up Company

This collaboration is the right thing to advance the products of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) thus they can dominate online market

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission B Chairman Abdul Aziz gives his appreciation about collaboration between Jakarta Provincial Government with start-up companies such as, Gojek, Grab, Tokopedia, Shopee and Blibli in order to support Micro and Small Business actors (PUMK) affected by COVID-19 crisis.

"This collaboration is the right thing to advance the products of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) thus they can dominate online market," he expressed, Thursday (7/23).

He explained digital marketing training programs and microcredit restructuring provided by start-up companies were very important for them. Yet, he hoped that the executive would deliver targets and evaluation of achievements to the legislature thus the effectiveness of the program could be known.

"So there are other constructive input from the legislature regarding this collaboration," he stated.

As for the information, as many as 1,000 PUMKs and 641 assistants have received training from start-up companies in collaboration with the Bank DKI and the Indonesian Financial Services Association to advance MSME products to dominate sales in the marketplace, especially for PUMKs affected by COVID-19.

In addition, the Capital Investment and One-stop Integrated Services (PTSP) Agency also continues to provide convenience for PUMK regarding the issuance of business permit.
